Young Sammy Walsh one of Australia brightest sprintcar stars and with the help of new sponsor Speedway Gear, Sammy is preparing for this weekends Aussie sprintcar title.

Sammy was been very impressive so for this summer and in the recent Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway International meetings, 20 year old Sammy certainly wasn’t backwards in taking it right up to the Yanks with some inspired drives.

This weekend, Sammy starts is program tomorrow night (Friday) and with his “gasmen” team working hard to get his #92 Maxim up to the minimum 1500 lbs weight, he’s just itching to give the 2008 Australian Sprintcar Title his best shot.

“We’ve been bolting weight into my car and that’s been our biggest problem. I don’t think there isn’t any reason why I can’t run in the top ten. I don’t want to sound too cocky but last week with 10 or so best Yanks here I was running up near the front. This weekend’s race should be a little easier but there are still a lot of good cars up front. Without guys like Steve Kinser, Schatz and those guys its still going to be a tough race but it will be good.”
